From the things they've said on their Twitter page, it sounds like they've been following feedback fairly closely, actually. I might not have spent the time writing this post if I didn't think they might read it. (Actually, who am I kidding? Usability is one of my "things." I'd have written this regardless. ;-) )

They've said they'll start iterating off the new design. A lot of people, even those who have said otherwise positive things about the change, have complained about the new complexity of navigation, so I expect that'll improve shortly.

Either way, it's a pretty great publicity stunt. Lots of Twitter users have found the site due to the hubbub.

The worst part about this post is the fact it makes sense, and yet T61 doesn't give a shit. They are completely ignoring negative feedback on the new design and have decided to alienate the majority of their uses. Oh well, that's what happens when you have a website run by hipsters. As soon as it becomes too popular and too easy, then blam-O ... it's time to change to something less likely to appeal to the crowd. T61 was one of my favorite sites. I am very disappointed in them.
